The DFA is a prominent member of UPEI (the voice of European independent fuel suppliers) and its CEO is a member of the UPEI Board.
UPEI represents European importers and wholesale/retail distributors of refined petroleum products and their alternatives, supplying Europe’s customers independently of the major fuel producers. It represents some 1,800 fuel importers who together cater for more than one third of the total demand for fuel in Europe.
The Association was founded in 1962 to introduce competition into the petroleum market and is based in Brussels. It comprises national associations such as the DFA and fuel supply companies.
